All About Me

I am excited to begin my third year as a school librarian. Teaching is what I chose to do as my third career and then I expanded to the library and I love it! I hope I can share that enthusiasm with my students!  I became a teacher in Arizona in 2003 and was a 3rd grade teacher, taught reading in Pennsylvania where I earned my Masters in Library Science, was a school librarian in Redmond, WA, and then relocated to Houston, TX.  I have a wonderful husband, Charly, and have two grown children, Brian and Rachel. And, as I’ve added the Pets Page, a 5 year old Lab named Koko.

So, what do I like to do besides, you know it, READ? Well, I love flowers and all that goes along with growing them, taking care of them, displaying them, photographing them…As my daughter will tell you, I lOVE FLOWERS!

I enjoy hiking and exploring. My love of hiking came from my parents; I believe as a child I visited every state and national park in New Mexico, and much of Colorado and Texas.

I enjoy cooking and it’s partner, eating.  Yum!  I love trying new recipes and new foods.

I also love games.  I like to watch them but I really enjoy playing them, even if I’m not good at all of them. Scrabble, Tabu, any card game, Pictionary, Boggle…I’ll play anything!
